The Project investigates the detection of possible gender bias in the medical profession in Spain, its causes and effects. We analysed the way physicians are hired, promoted, and compensated, as well as workplace equality. The purpose is to identify gender gaps, analyze potential bias causes and propose corrective actions for the discriminatory inequalities that will be encountered. These actions cover the individual and personal interaction level, the organizational and regulatory framework, as well as the broader social and cultural environment. In order to synthesize and share the available data we built three indicators which give an indication of the presence of women doctors in various work contexts.
